Drinking your soup

When someone raises a toast, you should never look to click your glass with anyone else. Usually, when a toast is being made, you should stand, unless the toast is being raised for you. Never drink too much and become drunk during fine dining.

Eating etiquette

Dining begins after everybody at the table is served. Do not dig into your food before the others. Take small bites and chew without opening your mouth. Never let any sound escape from your mouth when you have food in it. Pips or bones that you can not chew, use your thumb and forefinger to remove them if the morsel has small stones. A toothpick should only be used after you get up from the table. If something is stuck deep between your teeth, excuse yourself, visit the restroom and try to dig it out.

Making conversations

Conversations should never be loud during fine dining. Additionally, never bring up controversial topics such as religion, politics and faiths. Never make one person the focus of your conversation.
